“Lebanon Debate”
In the early hours of Friday, a significant fire broke out in a warehouse located in the old vegetable market area of Tabbaneh in Tripoli.
According to Lebanon Debate, the blaze erupted in a warehouse storing plastic and cardboard owned by the Qabout family. Civil defense teams, Lebanese Red Cross ambulance units, and emergency services quickly responded to the scene.
Several individuals experienced suffocation and received on-site treatment. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, and the damage was confined to material losses.
While the exact cause of the fire is not yet confirmed, it is suspected to be the result of an electrical short circuit. The fire has been brought under control, though the process was challenging due to the fire's intensity, and cooling operations are still ongoing.
Security forces have arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.
