Gebran Bassil continues his tactics by addressing questions with answers that are already known. These questions reach only a small fraction of his supporters and are intended to influence public opinion regarding the extension of the decision affecting MP Alain Aoun.

It should be noted that there have been rumors suggesting that Bassil believes Aoun voted for Frangieh during the session on June 14, despite the vote being secret and Aoun not making any public statement on the matter. Furthermore, Aoun has been accused of contradicting his own instructions by commenting on the internal situation of the Free Patriotic Movement in response to a question. In contrast, Bassil frequently seizes both public and private opportunities to criticize his deputies, often making accusations and prejudices.

According to informed sources, Bassil is expected to use the current crisis between Lebanon and Israel as a pretext to dismiss Aoun, taking advantage of the chaotic situation to avoid backlash that might occur under normal circumstances.
