The British newspaper The Times reported today, that over Thousand British soldiers are on standby to evacuate British nationals from Lebanon.
Amid military and security tensions between Israel and Hezbollah on one side, and Iran on the other, following last week's assassinations, international warnings have increased about the potential for the region to descend into a full-scale war.
Following the United States, Britain has also warned of the possibility of a catastrophic war in the region.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy posted today on X: “Further escalation in the Middle East is in one's interest.”
