“Lebanon Debate”
A Lebanese Army unit conducted a major raid this morning in the al-Sfeir area of Dahiyeh, arresting several individuals involved in yesterday's clash.
According to exclusive information from "Lebanon Debate," the operation began at 8:00 a.m., with the force sealing off the neighborhood entrances and raiding several homes linked to the clash that resulted in one death. They also detained a number of suspects for further investigation.
Yesterday morning, masked individuals affiliated with Hussein Imad al-Maqdad, riding a motorcycle, fired at Hani al-Maqdad’s tobacco shops in the al-Sfeir area. The attack caused a fire that destroyed all the contents of the shop and spread to the first floors of the building. Firefighting teams managed to control and extinguish the blaze without any injuries.
This incident followed an earlier altercation where Ahmad Hani al-Maqdad assaulted a young man inside a café owned by Hussein Imad al-Maqdad, located in an alley off the Chinese Street in al-Sfeir. In retaliation, individuals connected to Ahmad Hani al-Maqdad fired at Hussein Imad al-Maqdad’s apartment, leading to the death of Hussein Mhammad Reda al-Maqdad while he was at his daughter’s house, Hussein’s wife.
