In a brief statement, Al Joumhouria newspaper announced the suspension of its print edition. This decision comes amid the growing dominance of digital media, which has increasingly overshadowed traditional print media, now facing significant challenges.
Remarkably, Al Joumhouria did not publish the latest issue and chose to discontinue its print version immediately after announcing its transition to digital media. Consequently, the issue from Friday, August 2, will be the last print edition.
Founded back in 1924, this newspaper went on a long hiatus before restarting in 2011. It has now concluded about 13 years of print publication.
