Prepare for What’s Coming on the Fronts

“Lebanon Debate”

The reality of escalating conflict dominates the situation in Gaza and across multiple confrontation arenas in the region. This follows Israel's initiation of targeted assassinations, including the attack on Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas's political bureau, extending from Beirut to Tehran. Hamas spokesperson Walid Kilani in Beirut stated that this action "comes ten months after the Gaza conflict, with the Zionist enemy failing to meet its objectives. In a bid to advance its agenda, Israel has crossed all red lines and committed numerous crimes in Lebanon, Iraq, and Tehran."

In an interview with Lebanon Debate, Kilani discussed the Israeli strategy to broaden the conflict, highlighting that "Resistance movements must brace for the escalation that the enemy seeks. As indicated by Hassan Nasrallah, Lebanon has transitioned from a supportive role to a confrontation front, requiring preparation across all fronts for what lies ahead."

Regarding negotiations between Hamas and Israel following Haniyeh's assassination, Kilani noted that "Hamas submitted a proposal last month without receiving a response from Israel, which appears uninterested in negotiations or solutions. Benjamin Netanyahu's 60-minute address to the US Congress did not mention any negotiation. The responsibility now lies with Israel, which does not seek solutions and has killed the negotiator in Haniyeh, emphasizing that action, not just statements, is crucial."

Kilani emphasized "the inevitability of responses from Lebanon and Iran, with other fronts remaining on alert as the axis leadership decides the timing of their actions."

He criticized Israel's recent actions, stating, "Instead of de-escalating, the Zionist enemy has intensified its aggression. This enemy is committing crimes such as Majdal Shams and causing strife between Druze and other groups, and carrying out further assassinations in Beirut and Tehran. Now, Israel is manipulating mediators to avoid strong responses from Hezbollah and Iran."

Kilani further explained, "If the Resistance does not respond, the enemy will only escalate further. The next stage will be defined by the response; if the axis responds effectively, it may deter further aggression. If not, the cycle may return to negotiations. The decision ultimately lies with the field and the rational, deliberate leadership of the resistance, which must respond effectively to prevent further escalation or confront a broader conflict."

Thus, Kilani concludes with the sentiment that "the final decision rests with the field." He emphasizes that while the resistance leadership may be angered, they approach the situation with rationality and deliberation. The response must be effective to deter the enemy and prevent further escalation. If the enemy continues to expand its actions, as seen in Dahiyeh and Tehran, the response will be even stronger, potentially leading to a broader confrontation.
