“Lebanon Debate”
A large fire erupted at a scrap metal collection and sales site in the Siniq area, south of Sidon. The blaze consumed a substantial amount of grass, industrial waste, tires, and refrigerators.
During the firefighting efforts, barrels containing hazardous flammable materials were discovered at the scene.
Members of the Civil Defense from the Saida Regional Office, with assistance from the Saida Fire Brigade and the Al-Risala Association for Health Care, worked to contain the fire, which lasted for about an hour. Their prompt action helped prevent the fire from spreading further.
As smoke billowed into the sky, rumors began circulating about a potential security incident related to an Israeli raid on Sidon. However, the Civil Defense quickly clarified that the situation was a fire in Al-Bora, and assured that there was no security event in the area.
