“Lebanon Debate”
On Monday evening, a serious incident occurred in Al-Qaloud, where a dispute between two individuals escalated into gunfire.
According to "Lebanon Debate," the conflict involved Jamal Al-Mahbaj and his brother-in-law, identified only as A.D., and was triggered by a disagreement over generator usage. The altercation quickly turned violent, resulting in a shooting in which Jamal sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Jamal was rushed to Tripoli Governmental Hospital for emergency treatment but succumbed to his injuries today due to the bullet's placement in a critical area.
The incident has heightened tensions within the family, especially given that the shooter is the deceased's brother-in-law. The situation has led to fears of potential retaliation. The deceased's sister and the shooter's wife are reportedly in severe distress, requiring treatment with tranquilizers.
The security forces have arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation to uncover the details of the incident and determine the appropriate course of action.
