The German government has sealed the doors of the Islamic Center in Hamburg, a Muslim society that operates a mosque, following several months of investigation into its alleged support for Hezbollah.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior Affairs declared, "The Islamic Center in Hamburg and its affiliated organizations across Germany have been closed because the center is an extremist Islamic organization whose objectives violate the constitution."
Raids were conducted this morning on 53 branches across different regions in Germany. Additionally, the German Press Agency reported that dozens of police officers conducted a raid on the Blue Mosque in Hamburg early today.
