"Lebanon Debate"

Despite the ongoing confrontation in the south, Rafic Hariri International Airport is experiencing active and promising activity for those entering Lebanon these days. However, there is still lingering fear of a sudden escalation amid the threat of full-scale war.

In this context, Jean Beiruti, Secretary General of the Federation of Tourism Establishments , confirmed to "Lebanon Debate" that domestic tourism is very active, although hotel reservations and car rental percentages have significantly declined. He also mentioned that the tourism sector has achieved only 50% of what it did last year, but concerts and festivals currently underway are helping to promote Lebanon's positive image.

Beiruti clarified that expatriates from Africa and the Arab world are visiting Lebanon to reunite with their families, many of whom already have accommodations. However, foreigners have canceled their flights due to the war situation in Gaza.

He finally expressed hope that the situation will improve and Lebanon will steer clear of war.
