The statement released by Father Abdo Abou Kassem, head of the Catholic Media Center, during a political meeting, was striking as he criticized what he termed "the sterility of dialogue with Hezbollah."
Notably, these comments come from someone who was previously involved in dialogue efforts between Bkerki and Hezbollah and played a significant role in easing tensions following Cardinal Bechara al-Rai's earlier description of the party's actions in the south as terrorist.
